Q: “How much importance is placed on Time Management during TA Coaching & Mentoring programmes?”

A: “Time Management, or more accurately “Task” management, is crucial to living a balanced and highly successful life. We enable participants to adopt the P.A.L. Life Control Process (Planning, Action, Leisure), developed by Peter Haddon which is unique to the TA Coaching & Mentoring Programmes.

All participants receive “The Mentor”, a personal management system incorporating the P.A.L process. It ensures that specific blocks of time are allocated to key activities that match the individual’s strengths and that all peripheral activities are progressively eliminated, delegated or systematised.”

Q: “What benefits can I expect from using your Time Management principles and techniques?”

A: “You will be far more focused on your important tasks. You will feel in control of your business (and your life). You will avoid creating your own treadmill. You will derive far more enjoyment out of each day when you are able to consistently use your strengths on the key activities that are of most value to your business. You will cease being distracted by peripheral activities, enabling you to break through what Dan Sullivan of www.strategiccoach.com calls… the “ceiling of complexity” of running your business life. You will be healthier – with no stress! You will achieve far more – and at your rhythm and pace.”

Q: “Will the Time Management exercises and assignments that I will be required to do take up a lot of my time?”

A: “All of the exercises and assignments that you will be given are designed to increase your effectiveness with regard to your key activities. Whilst in the short term you may be investing some time, you will receive a far greater return than previously and in the long term will be saving considerable time.”

Q: “How will I know whether I am using my time to best effect?”

A: “We have exercises & assignments that make it explicitly clear how effective, or indeed ineffective, you “currently” are at Time Management. Once you are aware of where your time is presently being spent and of the value of the different activities to your business, you will inevitably have a lot of ideas of your own about how you and your team can change your time allocation and improve your habits around time and task management.”

Q: “Do you deal with delegation as a means of improving Time Management?”

A: “Yes – our coaching programmes help you to identify your strengths and match them to the high value-producing activities of your business. All other “peripheral” activities must either be performed by your support team – which is where delegation comes into the picture – or systematised if they cannot be eliminated altogether.

The delegation procedure also takes into account the strengths of your support team to ensure as good a match as possible between the delegated activities and their individual strengths.”

Q: “Can you help me with Time Management issues around my impending professional exams – be they FSA RDR qualifications or otherwise?”

A: “Yes, we incorporate TA Accelerated Learning techniques and will address the issue of Time Management around exams in the TA Group Coaching & Mentoring Programme if that is appropriate for you.”

Here are just 3 quick comments from course participants:

“What a relief to get rid of all the mundane, uninteresting tasks and concentrate on what I do best. My life has never been more enjoyable.”

Nick Salisbury, London

“The Momentum Builder exercise focused me on what I need to do. Found the Important not Urgent exercise valuable”

CT Honister Partners

“I had previously felt guilty working fewer hours than many of my colleagues and yet still producing outstanding results, but Peter helped me to understand that the time I take out of my business for me and my family is the reason and fuel of my success and not the result of my success.”
