  • I have been on courses before, I’ve even been coached… but it is still not working.”
  • “I am sceptical, yet I know that I am not working at my optimal effectiveness.

We hear this all the time from our clients.

  • I am too bogged down with the complexities and “stuff” of running my business, so I am not as productive as I’d like. I know I can do better…but how? When? Why?”
  • “I am a already successful Chairman, CEO, MD or Business Owner of my company (including Me-Un-Ltd) but I feel alone. I have no “sounding board” or support to turn to. This is affecting my inner self confidence & self belief, making me little more indecisive and hesitant than I wish… although I am not sure that I can admit to that!”
  • “I often don’t manage my time as effectively or efficiently as I’d wish, as I get distracted, having to react to frequent, unscheduled client & team interruptions. I know that am not as disciplined as I should be.”
  • “I don’t have enough time to prioritise and organise all the things I need to do, causing me stress, confusion, lack of life-balance and little or poor quality time with my family and loved ones. This is creating tension in my life.”
  • “I’ve got ongoing FSA RDR regulatory exam requirements that I have to allocate study time for. I am apprehensive as to how I will cope, given that I haven’t formally studied for a while.”
  • “I can’t afford the support team I need right now. I am not as profitable as I should be. I continue not to delegate or allocate resources to building my team.”
  • “I am unable to use and enjoy my strengths effectively or regularly. I often feel uninspired, tired and frustrated.”
  • “I am under-achieving on my desired results in the current economic climate.”
  • “My habits and strategies that were successful previously no longer work in these rapidly changing times. That hurts and confuses me.”
  • “I am anxious, unsure and fearful about my future in 2010-11, which appears to be outside of my control.”
  • “I seem to lack clarity of purpose, vision and focused direction – especially in these turbulent times. This leads me to muddled, uncertain thinking & a feeling of going round in circles.”
  • “I lack expertise and experience to strategically structure certain key areas of my business. I haven’t even segmented my client list yet.
  • “I know I don’t measure my activities and results nearly enough and have got myself into some ineffective personal habits. I know these are costing me money and are emotionally draining.”
  • “I need help with my Sales, Marketing and Lead Generating activities, especially as I continue to procrastinate, make excuses and easily get distracted.”
  • “I feel that external events control me and my business. I am losing ground as I lack traction to move forward in this market. I feel exposed.”
  • “I am not accountable to anyone apart from myself. Once I have paid the overheads and made some profit, I delude myself that I am doing ok. I know I am in my comfort zone. I know I could do more. I want to achieve more.”

How many boxes did you tick off? The $64,000 question now is… what are you going to do about it? Oh, by the way – the course won’t cost you $64k!

Seriously… what are you going to do differently THIS time?

When is the best time to get started? Answer: Right Now! Today! This minute! Before you take another step! Do you want to waste another £10,000+? Lose another sale? Miss another target? Fall short of your self imposed goal yet again? Work too many more ineffective hours? Miss another important moment with your family and loved ones?

Far too many Entrepreneurs and Business Owners wait, they hesitate, they prevaricate. They wait for when things will “slow down” or “finish that current project” or when they “have more time” or “when I have enough money and the economy is better”.  However, they never make a committed decision because there is always some other project, excuse or justification that comes up. They are waiting for “the” perfect time to start. Sound familiar? Of course it does – we all do it from time to time… until NOW.
How does this truism resonate with you?

“It is an immutable Law of Business…
Promises are promises,
Reasons are reasons,

Excuses are excuses,
But only Performance is Reality”.

Harsh but fair? (Here’s a TA Top Tip… look through your 2009 Diary and Bank Statements. They are the two places that record and measure your reality, the two places that do not lie! You might want to consider doing this straight away – it’s a revealing exercise.)

An expression from Mike Litman we often use in our TA seminars & workshops that is really relevant to Entrepreneurs and Business Owners like you is “…You don’t have to get it RIGHT, you just have to get it GOING!” Develop your and your team’s mindset to…“Stop chasing perfection and settle for excellence!”

Here are some hard questions… but only posed because we feel so passionately we can make a difference to you and your business. Here goes… we know everyone’s circumstances are different, but have you ever considered working out the true cost of your procrastination, the true cost of maintaining your current limiting personal beliefs, the true costs of your sabotaging habit patterns? Ouch!

What is it going to cost you now  – and over your life time – if you do NOT enrol on this programme? Can you afford this course of non-action? Questions worthy of your careful consideration, perhaps. You be the judge!

You have done your research:

NOW you have to make a decision.

Don’t look left or right. Don’t ask the person in front or behind you. Just look straight ahead, with clear intent and ask yourself these 2 simple focused questions:

1)  “Am I going to procrastinate AGAIN?” Or…
2)  “Am I going to TAKE ACTION – THIS time and do what ever it takes? ”

Your call. Your business. Your life.

JFK once stated “ There are risks and costs to a programme of action. But they are far less than the long range risks and costs of comfortable inaction.” Choose to make your committed decision now.

Studies show that successful people make decisions quickly and rarely change them, whilst unsuccessful people make decisions slowly and change them often. Which one are you?
